I have a small bladder. Always have had. This is only ever a good thing under two circumstances. #1, if you work at a really crappy job and need a good excuse to leave your cubical every fifteen minutes, or #2 you are plagued by annoying people every moment of the day and find solace in the quiet recesses of the nearest bathroom.
I don't (normally) have those problems....so having a small bladder is 100 % annoying all of the time.
Enter, pregnancy.
I am now in the bathroom more hours a day than I am asleep.
There's just no consoling my bladder. It demands a potty break every 1/2 hour but there was this one odd day and I don't know what in the world happened....perhaps the moon was full and it was low tide or something...but Pete and I were eating at a restaurant, and I "went" before we left, and we swung home to grab something and in that 5 min car ride to home I needed to go again--so I did. And then we went to Target (another 7 min car ride from our house) and by the time we were descending the hill toward the mall on 7th St...my eyeballs were floating and I practically ran an elderly lady over who was (totally loitering, by the way) outside of the Target bathroom door!
I think I may just start sleeping in the shower. It's closer. And getting out of bed 7 times a night is ridiculous.
All bathroom talk aside, being pregnant is pretty wonderful! Plus, I never have to really lift anything...which also means that my back which has been screwed up for ever, is finally getting better! I haven't been to the chiropractor in 2 months! That's a record!
"Baby" is starting to become more active...kicking away and I think maybe dancing. I had the music up in the car really loud the other day and there was definitely some movin' and shakin' going on in there. Must take after his/her dad, affectionately known as "Butt shakin' Peter". Sorry honey. He hates that.
Peace, Love, and Joy to you all!!!!
P.S. We're supposed to get a huge storm this weekend! Anyone up for a Lord of the Rings (Extended edition) marathon?
