Yesterday....I wore for the first time in my pregnancy (or life for that matter....because why would you if you didn't have to).....a pair of maternity pants!!! Thank you...thank you *low bow*. I know you have all been looking forward to this day as much as I have *cough*...the day when I finally am big enough to fill out a pair of maternity pants. It's sort of bitter sweet you know. They're terribly comfortable, but with the comfort comes the disquieting voice that says, "Krista...kiss those jeans goodbye! Because even after you've had the baby...one hip will decide it wants to be in New Jersey and the other hip will decide that Portland sounds lovely this time of year...and they'll never again be confined in your old "Pre-pregnancy" clothes.
Que sera sera and all that! Motherhood here I come!
Here is an exerpt from a conversation I had with my dad on the phone a few days ago.
Dad: So, How are you feeling?
Krista: Oh, good....tired, but good!
Dad: Are you showing yet?
Krista: Not really....I am still in my same old clothes.
Dad: Well I just can't wait to see you as big as a barrell!!!
Krista: ..........errrm...........I'm sure that's coming, Dad!
Can you tell he's excited to be a grandpa?!? It's ridiculous that one child can have two such unfathomably amazing sets of grandparents! We are so blessed to have both families so close!
